PERIOD:
From the 7th to the 17th of July 2010. The arrival of the participants is expected on Wednesday the 7th of July. Departure will be on Saturday the 17th of July.
PARTICIPANTS:
Boys and girls aged from 14 to 20, with an assistant, preferably a young volunteer (major) or a relative, that will follow them during the stay. 10 handicapped youngsters and their assistants will be included in the camp; as well as 6 other youngsters from the Lions Solidarity Camp.
KIND OF HANDICAP:
Only physically disabled young people will be admitted (able to communicate). Mentally handicapped people are not eligible for this camp.
ACCOMODATION AND CHARGES:
The Tuscan Lions will pay for the Camp stay of the disabled young people and their attendants.
The participants have to pay the travel tickets from their home place to airports or to the rail station of Florence and return costs.
INSURANCE:
The disabled young people and their attendants have to pay insurance to cover travel and luggage, accident, serious ilness and third party liabilities from the departure to the arrival in their home place.
APPLICATION FORM:
This must be sent no later than the 30th of April 2010 to the Camp Director .
A medical certificate, assuring good fitness to travel and to take part in the activities, must be enclosed with the application.
Applications must be signed by a parent or by the legal guardian and by the responsible Lions Club or District Officer.
The Director has the authority to accept or reject the application following the Committee's advice
and the availability of accommodation; The activity programme will be given at the arrival. The participants will take part in the planned activities of the course according to the limits of their
abilities and medical authorisation.
